Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country that requires surveillance and patrol vessels to secure various activities at sea, for example: fishing, trading and inter-island transportation. The development of ship design made it possible to design vessels with various special specifications. This research is a preliminary research to design a very tough fisheries control vessel with specifications that cannot be reversed. This research was using the computer-assisted ship modeling method. In general, design of hull ship is the same as the patrol vessel. The superstructure and all compartments are closed to prevent water entry. There are two load conditions scenario to run the stability calculation. The result illustrated by GZ stability curve that the vessel has perfect stability with the line of GZ point still positive up to an angle of 1800 in rolling position for all loading condition. The condition means that the patrol fishing vessel cannot capsize in the water.
